"...a fantastic medieval banquet and such a high level of professionalism."

P.M., Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess, Redford Barracks, Edinburgh.

Serpentyne play evocative, scene-setting music to recreate the atmosphere of a mediaeval feast, and can round off your mediaeval-themed wedding, or other event with some authentic mediaeval dancing, which is rather like ceilidh dancing: easy to learn- the band will show you- terrific fun and a great way to bring your guests together.

The band will play acoustically or with amplification, stationary or as strolling players. Their music ranges from the soft, romantic ballads of mediaeval Italy to the liveliest dance tunes.

They have performed widely throughout Europe: mediaeval festivals and fayres in the UK, France and Germany, as well as concerts, museums, street parades, and a computer battle game launch! Their music will be tailored exactly to fit your event, whether it is a wedding, party mediaeval fayre, or corporate dinner.

For smaller events, where acoustic-level background music is required, the band may be booked as the duo of Maggie Sand (voice, cittole, harmonium) and Mark Powell (hurdy-gurdy, cittern, vocals.)

For larger events, or where you'd like to incorporate some mediaeval dancing,  they can be augmented to a four-piece band, with the addition of an extra instrumentalist and  percussionist/singer, or a five-piece, with an extra singer/dancer.

Biographies:
